North West Pacific Regional Scientific Research Working Group
The North West Pacific RSR-WG is coordinated by Hiromi Watanabe (Japan) and Rachel Downey (Australia). The RSR-WG consists of 34 members and meets on a quarterly basis.
The working group held a local symposium in the University of Tokyo, Japan, in Feb 2025 to discuss the future of deep-sea biology in the region. The group would like to organize both local and international symposia to maintain connections in NW Pacific.
