Indian Ocean Regional Scientific Research Working Group
The Indian Ocean RSR-WG is coordinated by Agnes Muthumbi (Kenya) and Baban Ingole (India). The RSR-WG consists of 45 members and meets on a quarterly basis.
Activities within the RSR-WG are focused on producing a review of the deep-sea species and environment of the Indian Ocean, providing an up to date summary of the state of our ecological knowledge of this region. Recently the group also started discussions on developing concepts for deep sea research proposals to SOI and seeking other opportunities for collaborative funded research.
